The City of Newcastle Golf Course was founded in 1891 playing on a course on the Town Moor before moving to Grange Farm at the Three Mile Bridge, Gosforth, in 1907. The clubhouse offers an excellent bar, lounge and restaurant facilities that can be enjoyed with a panoramic view of the 1st and 18th holes.
With a luxurious, 64-bedroom en-suite offering, our hotel offers easy access to the Golf Course. Taking advantage of the “all under one roof” approach to our offering, our on-site Bar and Restaurant at the Great North Hotel is the perfect location for a post-round pint, or a refreshing cocktail to end the day.
