HOW EARLY CAN I CHECK IN?
Check-in is from 2pm. If you wish to arrange an early check-in from 12 noon, this is chargeable at £10 per hour. Please contact our 24-hour hotel reception team to arrange this. Please note, this must be arranged prior to arrival and subject to availability.
HOW LATE CAN I CHECK OUT?
Check-out is at 11am. If you wish to arrange a late check-out till 1pm, this is chargeable at £10 per hour. Please contact our 24-hour hotel reception team to arrange this. Please note, this must be arranged prior to check out and is subject to availability.
CAN I BE TRANSFERED TO ANOTHEER ROOM USING THE TELEPHONE PROVIDED?
If you wish to contact another room, you will have to dial 0 from the phone provided and we will then transfer your call with all security factors in place.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
We have an onsite car park which is free to park based on a first come, first serve basis. In the small like hood you not being able to get parked, please contact our 24 hour reception and our team will assist you with parking alternatives.
DO YOU HAVE ELECTRICAL VEHICLE POINTS?
Yes, we are lucky enough to have 4 EV points located in our onsite car park and they are free to use. Your own lead will need to be provided so you just plug and leave your car to charge. Really is as simple as that.
DO THE ROOMS HAVE BATHS OR SHOWERS?
All of our Standard and Deluxe rooms come with a spacious walk-in rainfall shower. Our Junior suites are the only rooms which locate a bath. A rainfall showerhead is also provided above the bath for personal preference.
CAN I ADD AN EXTRA PERSON INTO OUR ROOM?
No, unfortunately our rooms only accommodate for two adults.
CAN YOU ACCOMODATE BABIES/CHILDREN?
Yes, we have a small number of travel cots available for infants. We allow children under the age of 7 to sleep in the same bed as adults based on the parent’s discretion. We can not provide Z beds.
HOW FAR AWAY ARE YOU FROM THE AIRPORT?
We are located in the perfect location with quick access to the A19 and A1.
We are approximately a 15-minute car journey to Newcastle Airport, give or take traffic.
CAN I LEAVE MY CAR WHILST I GO ON HOLIDAY?
Of course – we have a Fly & Park facility available to all guests.
This is chargeable at £5 per day. This is subject to availability, and we must stress that vehicles are left at your own risk.
Please contact our reception team to arrange this ideally before arrival.
IT IS A SPECIAL OCCASION, IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO FOR US?
We do offer a range of packages for special occasions which include prosecco, balloons, chocolates, rose petals, birthday cake and celebration cards. These can be added at the booking stage or by giving us a call with your reference number on 0191 2268855.
What is the hotel’s cancellation policy?
If you have booked the reservation directly with the hotel over the phone or online, Great North Hotel offers free cancellation up to 9am the day prior to arrival, unless advance purchase non-refundable rate was selected. Please note that some special offers and key dates outlined in the terms and conditions may specify a special cancellation policy applicable to that offer and date.
Does the hotel offer baggage storage?
Yes, you can leave your luggage at the reception in our luggage room free of charge before check-in or after check-out. Please note that luggage is stored on a first come first served basis.
Do you offer a gluten-free menu?
Yes, the hotel has a variety of gluten-free menu options, including a gluten-free section at breakfast.
How can I cancel my reservation if I booked via a third-party website?
If you have booked via a third-party website or online travel agent, you will need to contact them directly to amend or cancel your booking as we cannot do that on your behalf. Please note that third party websites and online travel agents have their own cancellation policies, so please refer to your confirmation email.
What does our “no show” policy entail?
If you do not show on the day of your booking or didn’t successfully cancel, you will be charged the full amount for your first night’s stay. If you have booked our “advanced purchase” or “prepay and save” rates, you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.
